Did I say anything wrong?

My best friend is 15, and I am 14 and we have been best friend's for a long time. But we had a little accident a few weeks ago. It was his birthday and I came over to wish him a happy birthday and all (I live next door to him). His mom said he was asleep and told him to go up and wake him up. I went up and was trying to wake him up by jumping on his bed. But he wouldn't get up, so I pulled his covers from him. And when I pulled it it was obvious that he was naked. I was surprised, I sorta screamed in shock and ran out as fast as I could. He hasn't been talking to me after that. So I decided to come over today. But he wasn't really looking at me. So I was all like, "Are you going to talk to me or not?". Then ne finally started talking to me (but I could tell it was awkward). Then he brought it up by saying "You're not weirded out or anything right?". And I just said "You have nothing to worry about. It looks so cute!" and he turned red. Then I realized that I just complimented him on his penis. Then I didn't really say anything for a long time. Now I sorta regret what I said, I didn't really think it through before I said it. Was what I said wrong?
