Spider found - what type was it? just over 1cm in each direction, grey with light grey/white spots on its back?

A common house spider...ah, why you kill it. No poisinous spiders in UK, unless they escape a zoo or private collection. I moved to Australia were there the size of dinner plates, and many can kill, or at least make you very sick, we have one that makes your flesh rot...charmer! Next time dont kill them they keep the other nasties under control, like flies and wasps, youll regret killing him if you get stung by something else, he could of saved you the pain by eating it.
